Recently, the Government of Alberta announced details regarding Preventative Health Testing (PHT), outlining legislative and policy changes intended to allow Albertans access to certain diagnostic screening tests without a practitioner’s referral.

At this time, BGSA Radiology will not be participating in the PHT program, the only self-referred bookings we will continue to accept are for a Screening Mammogram, which has been our policy for several years.

Our leadership team is reviewing the PHT program and assessing the operational requirements and potential patient impact of participating.
